Jesper Hoffmeyer, 2010. Jesper Hoffmeyer (born 1942) is emeritus professor at the University of Copenhagen Institute of Biology, and is a leading figure in the emerging field of biosemiotics. He is President of the International Society for Biosemiotic Studies (ISBS), co-editor of the journal ''Biosemiotics'' and the [ Springer Book series in Biosemiotics].
